Exercise 1

I had a few spare minutes this afternoon so, I'm biting the bullet and gonna start this thing :-) I'm SO ready to improve my skills!! I thought it was neat that you can get the same exact exposure with completely different numbers. The first 3 pics you can't tell any difference at all but in the last 3 the bokeh is more pronounced in the first pic than in the last.

Having a set aperture:

ISO 200, f/8, 1/100

ISO 400, f/8, 1/200

ISO 800, f/8, 1/400

Having a set shutter speed:

ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/125

ISO 400, f/7.1, 1/125




ISO 800, f/10, 1/125

All of these are sooc, as I refuse to edit pics like these :-) No need to waste my precious time!

And a random question, I'm trying to work on getting a photowalk in Indy organized and was wondering how your calendar looks in about 2-4 weeks? Any days you're not available? I want to move on it because we may be making a move soon and I REALLY want to do this!! Let me know what won't work for you and I'll work around your schedule. I figure everyone else who would like to participate would have to clear their schedules :-) I was thinking of inviting Heidi, Steph (a local photog buddy), Sarah (not sure if she'd like to participate but I'll invite her anyways!). I also thought about offering it on the blog to anyone who may be interested. Just don't want to attract any psychos. Can you think of anyone else who may want to join us?

I took some pictures for Sarah the other day. I was hoping they would be sharper, they seem a little grainy to me which is weird because my ISO was not high. Would you look over them and tell me what you think I might want to add or change. I have a ton but I'll just do a few on here today.

I Heart Faces-Columbus Photowalk

Here are just a few pictures from my photowalk. I'm super frustrated though...after getting home and looking them over I realized I had my ISO really high and there is a slight grain to Every.Single.Picture. Ugh!! Guess that's why I'm not a pro yet :-)

I think I need to start saving for web so they will be sharper on the the blogs.
