Hey Georgia!! I miss you guys already :)
I had my first paying customer. It’s one of my friends kids (one of Sophia’s BFF) I had a different customer but she canceled the morning of. I think my friend felt sorry for me and she booked her spot. I hadn’t planned on her paying me but she is stubborn and ended up paying for the session. I obviously really want to make these great so please check them out and let me know what you think!
Did you ever get anywhere on the book? I did not. I really am kind of struggling with it. On a good note my big brother gave me CS4 (yay!!) and asked ME to partner with HIM!! Is that cool or what? We are going to have two separate businesses and then also work together :)
Meet Grant :)
I happened to catch one of his sisters for a millisecond and this is what I got. I know the sun is serious but I like it in a weird way.
I think this one is one of my favorites.
Grant has a lot of pink in his skin, I toned it down…does it need more? He started to look a little blue.
I like this one but don’t….do you think it needs more contrast? The backlight was totally blown and I toned it down but something seems off. His eyes or hair or something?
This is kind of vintage looking, I might switch it to BW
Does this work?
His daddy is a huge fisherman.
I like these but Greg does not. I still feel like something is off in each one. Is the color one too green? I keep thinking I need to warm up the bw verson.
That’s it…or at least that is all I’ll make you suffer through :)
I can’t wait to see what you do in GA!!
One word. WOW!! Are you even the same photographer? Did you take a class or something? Or did everything just click? But seriously, those shots are STELLAR. Really really great!! I don't think I have any great CC, but here are my opinions on the shots...
ReplyDelete1. Awesome. Looks like a pro took the shot, one that I would see on any of the 100 professional photography blogs I look at. Seriously, its that good!
2. Awesome. LOVE the sun AND its intensity. I'm in awe!
3a &3b. Awesome. Sweet expression. Can't decide which one I like better. Your conversion is beautiful.
4. Awesome. Very clean, very classic. One that would be great blown up and on canvas. Love the composition too!! In comparison to other photos, his skin is a bit pink, but I wouldn't have noticed it if I didn't compare it with the last photo.
5. Awesome. Same as 4. So So Good!!
6. Awesome. I agree, it needs to be a bit more contrasty but I like the background kinda blown. Totally works in this pic!
7. Awesome. Love his little smirk :-) The vintage PP looks great on this photo. You have such a great eye for that!
8. Awesome. If that doesn't say "Daddy's Boy" I don't know what will! Very sweet, great capture. Looks like a little man and I love it!!
9a &9b. Awesome. I like them. Why doesn't Greg? Now, in comparison to the others, I don't care for it AS MUCH, but its still a great shot. On my computer the greens look great, its just a lot of it. I think I like the B&W better. Maybe try a vignette around it to draw focus in to Grant??
10. Awesome. Another contender for big and canvas! How will the mother ever choose?!?! Skin tones are perfection, so creamy!
I am so impressed Hannah! I bet when your first friend sees these, she'll be wishing she hadn't cancelled!
And a BIG congrats on going in with your brother!! I know you'll have a successful business :-) Can't wait to see more!!
